Gstaad. A steep downhill road brings you along ringing cowbells through old farmers villages to the city Gruyère in the french speaking part of Switzerland. Passing by green farmland and wineyards we reach Lake Geneva. We visit the Chillon Castle, the 13th century fortress made famous by Lord Byron's poem. A scenic drive takes you through the region Valais, the valley of the river Rhone with its orchards and wineyards. At Taesch we will board a cogwheel train that takes us to the mountain-resort of Zermatt at the foot of mighty Matterhorn. Overnight in a luxury 4-star hotel/5-course dinner included. |
