Cuba Holiday , Salsa, Spanish and trek package includes tour of Sierra, Santiago de Cuba, Santa Domingo, Alto de Naranjo, La Comandancia, Aguada de Joaquin, Pico Turquino, Las Cuevas, Old Havana.
Day 1
Group arrival at Holguin airport and transfer to Santiago de Cuba and homestay.
Day 2
Welcome briefing meeting, orientation tour of the city, afternoon or evening cultural activity.
Day 3-7
Morning classes x 3 hours (Spanish or Cuban dance), 2 afternoon cultural visits, 2 accompanied evenings out to live music venues and clubs.
Day 8
Transfer to Santa Domingo via Bayamo. Overnight in Santo Domingo and prepare for trek.
Day 9
Travel by truck to Alto de Naranjo, visit La Comandancia, Fidel's strategic base in the Sierra Maestra mountains, lunch and afternoon visit to La Platica ecological community. Overnight in La Platica.
Day 10
Early morning departure for 4-5 hours walking to the Aguada de Joaquin refuge, our overnight stop.
Day 11
Climb Pico Turquino and descend to Pico Cuba refuge (4-5 hours walking). Overnight stop. Descend to Las Cuevas on the coast (4 hours).
Day 12
Descend to Las Cuevas on the coast (2 hours), transfer to Santiago de Cuba. Free afternoon and last night cultural activity in Santiago de Cuba.
Day 13
Daytime flight to Havana and free afternoon to explore the city. Evening cultural activity.
Day 14
Optional guided walking tour of Old Havana and visit to craft markets. Transfer to airport for overnight flight back to UK.
